Jacket Hold Down
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.
I don't know how handy you are in a garage, but here's one you might be able to use...
Hints...
- Use a file to remove any sharp edges before you bend the metal. DON'T SKIP DOING THIS OR YOU'LL SLASH YOUR COATS. Not a good thing.
- If you can, it helps to bend the metal so that it forms a U shape, with one side being only about 1/4" tall. This bend will wrap around the bottom of the pallet to give extra strength and a better hold down.
Remember with coats, though, that it is extremely difficult to do multi-color work that requires tight tolerances. Because there is usually a lining, the coats like to slide ever so slightly (sometimes only 1/32", but it's enough to notice).
