Wondering if my craft (embossing) heat gun could be used for flashing? It gets extremely hot.
Can I stack the shirts together after ONLY flashing the plastisol ink (with the heat gun)?
(Provided the the shirts won't stick together after flashing) At a later time, can I cure the plastisol ink by using a heat press? If so what would the recommended temp be and for how long?
If none of the above works what are my options - I can not buy a flash heater or dryer at this time - should I use water-based inks?
What is the longevity of water-based inks vs. plastisol? And pros and cons of each?
I am completely new - I don't even have any equipment yet and will only be buying a 1/1 screen printer (for now). My mother gets occasional one color orders and she has to sub it out - we thought for less then $400 I'd try doing it for her - I'm already doing her artwork in Corel 11.
Thanks
