I've been trying to do some artwork for sale. I normally print t-shirts with regular plastisol inks. I found posterboard does decent when curing the ink. I have found that too much handling results in peeling of the inks off the board. Does anyone have any suggestions that can make my life easier? And keep my production's promise of quality?

Plastisol ink is for textile printing. Get some general purpose ink for poster board. Naz Dar is a good source for the proper inks for different substrates.

Would I be able to use the same screens I use for t-shirts? I don't want to ruin a screen by using the wrong inks.
Re: Screen-Printing on posterbord
The ink you decide to use will have a TDS ( Technical Data Sheet ) this will give you mesh call outs and cure perameters.

Speedball's Acrylic Inks are made for paper substrates. There are some other waterbased inks on the market, such as Jacquard's. I've also read that Matsui waterbased inks work well on paper flatstock. I've tried a little of the Speedball and they leave a nice finish. You gotta keep moving though, utilize a flood over the open area of the stencil between prints, and wash up immediately when finished. One thing about the Matsui inks is they are less prone to quick skin-over on press, and there are retarders you can add to increase open time. The Nazdar poster inks are solvent based, I believe.
The problem with plastisol is it needs some tooth in the substrate to grip onto. Smooth paper stocks don't have much.

If you use water-based inks you will need an emulsion that resists water, the same screens can be used though.
