I am using the Epson Pro 5000 to print silk screens. However, there is a banding problem with the ink on the inkjet film positive. The characters noticeably are lined, like a bar code.Is there a way to fix this problem?
Also, who makes the best inkjet film positives for this printer? Thanks!
I agree with roadside. I have an epson 9500 and a seiko solvent printer. I run cleans daily on the seiko because of the isolvent ink to keep it flowing but have never had to worry about the epson. It still runs quite a bit but if it were to stay dormant for a few weeks I wold imagine it would take several full cleaning cycles and quite a bit of paper printed to clean up and fly right. If that doesn't work, have the heads checked for damage. A nozzle check is the quickest way to see exactly what each head is doing or not doing. Thats the first thing a tech would do on a repair call.
