starting out

ok so im obviously new being i'm posting this under the n00b section. anyway,
i'm thinking about starting up a shirt printing business, but i dont want to get ahead of myself and put a lot of money up front just for the sake of being real conservative about starting out.
basically the business plans i've noted out, i want to start out doing simple 1/2 color prints until i get the hang of things so i can just bank off of some of those simple designs for businesses and whatnot. basically work up to needing a bigger press.
should i go for a flash dryer at this point, and does anyone have any recommendations or are they kind of a standard?
also i cant decide if i want to hit up a simple 1 color 1 station press for a low starting overhead or hit up some sort of 4 color press. any suggestions?
and, would you suggest getting a kit of some sort? if so, do you have any links to sites for those i can check out?
