I am just getting started with screen printing and boy am I excited to fing you guys!! I am making teacher gifts and they will be printed on canvas, not shirts. Since it doesn't need to be washable, can I use acrylic paint? custom mixed inks are just so pricey and I can't find the colors I am looking for in ink. If it is possible, do you have any tips for me? Thank you!!!

Mixed inks? Why don't you mix your own? They have acrylic ink that is pretty cheap. I can get an 8 ounce bottle of ink for 8 bucks. Just by the primaries and white and black.

Acrylic paint should work for what you are doing, do a test first on your substrate to be sure. Good luck.
