I'm new to the forum and have had some experience printing both tees and posters.

I want to buy a t-shirt press/equipment but I also want to be able to print posters also.

Can I use my t-shirt press to do create poster prints also? If so, what do I need to buy?

You can get a vacuum platen to put on the t-shirt press to print good posters. This is nice because you can have all your screens registered before starting the print run, rather than having to swap out the screen and re-register after each color. So what you would need is a good t-shirt press (I'd recommend at least 6 color/4 station so you can print any type of design), and then an extra vacuum platen to use whenever you want to print posters.
