Advice for printing on powder coated surfaces?

Hi,
I will soon be printing small aluminum enclosures (guitar pedals) and need advice on inks and emulsions. Thinking either uv or acrylic inks. I know uv works great but may be expensive. Another pedal builder says he uses acrylic inks and that they wear very well. I'm a bit sceptical, and can't get in touch with him for info. I thought I probably needed a solvent-based ink since the powder coating is a plastic type material.
Can someone tell me what type ink and emulsions I should use? Getting 300 mesh yellow screen. Product links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
Dave
