Printing on Styrofoam cups problem

I have owned a sign company for 22 years and my wife thought it would be a cute, fun and profitable idea to diversify into the styrofoam cup printing business. It's not cute fun or profitable yet! Few questions if you have experience with this. What kind of ink do you use? Do you thin the ink before production? Tried printing about 50 cups and not one came out well. Print was missing from various parts of the art- not the same spot over and over. FYI i have only screen printed a few coros manually over the years so I am an idiot about screen printing. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Thx. Brian
